Mission Statement:
The Virginia Lions Institute Foundation seeks to support research which will contribute to the wider field of knowledge on eye disease with the goal of improving vision and eye health.
Who:
Grants are solicited from professionals with expertise in the area of eye health including: researchers in the field of eye disease, physicians, optometrists, opticians, nurses and public health specialists
What:
Funds may cover all costs associated with research including planning, conducting and presenting the study results for up to one year.
Where:
Applications should be submitted to the Research Grant Committee
When:
The deadline for submitting grants is October 25th of each year. Applicants will be notified approximately two weeks after grant submission
How Much:
A total yearly budget of $40,000 is appropriated by the Virginia Lions Eye Institute Foundation for research grant funding. The grants will be funded according to the merits of the proposed research.
